The brushed suede has a beautiful matte finish that catches the light subtly, and the stitching around the derby sole is incredibly precise. I've been wearing them for a week and they've already molded to my feet perfectly; the leather thickness is exactly what I was hoping for.

The leather feels substantial yet completely flexible right out of the box, and the aniline spray gives it a rich tonal variation that catches the light beautifully. The wool brushing at the end adds a subtle, velvety texture that makes these feel more refined than most suede shoes I've owned.

The suede has a really nice depth to it, and the final wool brushing gives it a soft, almost velvety feel that I wasn't expecting. They're easily the most comfortable derbies I've put on straight out of the box.
